BGV Profiles contd. (page 3) We had a huge response to our request for your BGV profiles! So many of you sent in fact files of your beloved hounds that this would have taken up an entire publication in itself, so the editors of The Voice have suggested that we run this feature online. Fun Fact: We first met Joc when he was at our friend Linda's house. He was sprinting around the garden and patio, bouncing with enthusiasm. Me and my partner glanced at each other and said, no matter what happens, there is no way that Joc is coming to live with us.... fast forward a few weeks....Joc was curled up next to us on our sofa, never to leave again!

Age: 8 and a half years Colour: Sable and white Favourite toy: Not really a toy kind of dog, prefers to drag a bed around for entertainment (usually with a Schnauzer in it!) or parade a stolen sock Food & treats: Ultimate favourite treat is a lamb puff or a crunchy fish cube Likes: Loves the beach, hiking in the Lakes, a good nap and someone to scratch his head! Favourite TV shows (he’s an avid TV watcher, Police Interceptors and Trucking Hell) Dislikes: The rain, the drizzle or any dampness in the air! Being ignored by strangers who do not want to fuss him! Personality: He is the sweetest boy I’ve ever owned (with the longest ears!), he’s everyone’s mate, gentle and loving and just a pleasure to be around. Has a pilchard for ‘lunch’ - this was a puppy habit from Tarmachan and he still insists on it. He is keen on kefir if he can get it. Treats: loves cheese for special treats and a daily dental chew. He can be a bit disdainful of gravy bones, smackos etc Likes: He loves singing (taught Jolie to sing), prancing (especially to impress girls), cuddles and a cosy basket. He loves Jolie. Dislikes: He doesn’t like mud or puddles and will stop in his tracks if he gets a leaf on his fur until someone removes it. He doesn’t like the dark - finds it spooky! Personality: Very happy and gentle. He loves attention but can be a bit jealous of Jolie getting attention from visitors. Very sensitive and fastidious (see dislikes) Fun Fact: He attended puppy class for a year and was pronounced very well trained - for a hound.

Food & treats: Butternut pouches, plus Hills Perfect Weight dry food. But basically will eat more or less anything as long as it isn’t very big (big things are too much responsibility and have to be hidden). Has a pilchard every day at ‘lunch’ thanks to Dougal’s influence. Treats: anything but loves chicken for special and a daily dental chew Likes: Scentwork, hunting, food, squirrel watching, cuddles Dislikes: Meals not being on time (foot stamping) Personality: Very bright and a little bit neurotic. Expressive and does quite a lot of chatting. Very affectionate but when she was a puppy she never wanted cuddles and just used to bite, hence her nickname, Sharknado. Very greedy.

Food & treats:Eats: Raw boneless meat or fish, veg & spelt flakes, salmon or olive oil. Supplements: Pumpkin powder & Seaweed powder. Treats: Rabbit ears with fur, sprats, gravy bones, cheese (by choice expensive strong smelly French cheese) Likes: Sunbathing, going to a coffee shop or out for lunch. Dislikes: Going out in the rain, fireworks and boisterous dogs Personality: Laid back and gentle, very clever with a massive sense of humour. Fun Fact: He is partial to a single malt whisky and a hot lamb curry
