He was a true gentleman with great knowledge, compassion and integrity. Always dependable to offer an honest, ethical and impartial opinion in the most challenging situations. Our thoughts and most sincere sympathy are with Val, family and friends. His loss will be felt immensely by the Committee and everyone who knew him. Breed Notes compiled by Lizzie Cadmore 11/3/26 PBGV Fresh from her trip to Westminster in New York where she won the breed, Am & Cro Ch Black Majesty Some Say (Orsay des Terres du Templier x Black Majesty New York), owned by Iva Raic, certainly made her mark in PBGV history by becoming one of, if not the most successful dog, in our breed. Last year she took the top spot at the World Dog Show, and this year she’s added Reserve Best in Show at Crufts to her impressive record. Winning the BCC & BOB under breed judge Jeff Horswell, she then topped the group under Phil Freer later that evening, who had judged her last summer at the World Dog Show, giving her the breed win there. On Sunday evening she returned to the green carpet to take the RBIS spot under FCI president Tamas Jakkel and once again showed the world how fun and amazing our breed is. A big congratulations to Iva and her team who are constantly by her side. Continuing Crufts breed results now and it certainly was an international day. The DCC from Jeff Horswell went to Int Ch Aldia Dik Dejl Dk/Ir/UK Ch Soletrader Pat on the Back х Switherland Aldia Crystal), owned by Vasif Agaev, with the RDCC going to the Icelandic male Made U Look Big Apple Bonanza (Ice Ch Soletrader Times Square x Black Majesty New York), owned by Karen Ösp Guðbjartsdóttir. The RBCC was bred and co-owned in the Netherlands, but has recently spent time in the UK, and this went to Anouk Huikeshoven & Heidi Allenby’s Jour Apres Jour Twice As Nice (Aust Sup Ch & UK Ch Dance Monkey v Tum-Tums Vriendjes x Erylan Feronia Dans La Faune). Best Veteran was Switherland Aldia Crystal (Ch Soletrader Magic Mike x Pol Ch & Ch Irma Podkoldernik Jadowity), also owned by Vasif Agaev, with Best Puppy going to Soletrader Sybil Fawlty (Ch Soletrader Happy As Larry x Ch Soletrader Cotton Candy), owned by Lizzie Cadmore. A big thank you to all of those who volunteered their time for the Discover Dogs stand over the show. I’m sure after Fridays result it was rather busy over the weekend with potential puppy people asking the right questions. Some overseas results as usual. In Lithuania at their International show, After Me In The Spotlight (Taglines Grab A Summer Classic x Fin Ch After Me Check This Out), owned by Kristina Bergstrom & Oona Sukander, came away with a group win and another title to add to his name. In Australia at the Lake Macquarie ABKC in NSW, Ch Tumtums Starry Night (Aust Sup Ch & UK Ch Dance Monkey v Tum-Tums Vriendjes x Penny Lane v Tum-Tums Vriendjes), owned by Kristina Bardsley, was Runner Up in Group on Saturday. In Queensland at the Ipswich KC, Amanda Cooney & Caryn West’s Aust Ch Bondestin Front Page News (Aust Ch Bonhaven Northern Angel x Bondestin So Wat Ima Rockstar), was Australian Bred in Group. In Texas, USA, at the San Antonio KC, GCh Trio's Bridgerton at Rosewood (GChS Soletrader Dean Martin x GChS Mirepoix’s Dubble Bubble), owned by Tiffany Cannon and Clint & Karen Livingston, was Group 2 on Sunday. In Wilmington, Ohio, Ch Stellar With Love, From California (Ch Mirepoix's Eton Mess Pudding x Ch M&M Stellar You're So Vain), owned by Anna Gracie & Janice Hayes, was Group 4 on Saturday. GBGV As promised a Crufts round up just for the Grands! Linda Mackenzie was the judge this year and she found her Best of Breed in her BCC winner, Anita Roberts’ Tarmachan D'ora Ligure (Ch Macaroni v Tum-Tums Vriendjes of Tarmachan (Imp Nld) x Ch Tarmachan Ice Diamond), handled by Claire Cooper. The RBCC went to the Best Puppy, Tiara Dusza Lesna At Arapelo (Imp Pol) (Boschendal De Bucamie x Pol Ch Princess Previa Z Chybowego Gniazda), owned by Karen Bayliss. DCC, giving him his title was Jayanel Alfabeti Spageti (Ch Macaroni v Tum-Tums Vriendjes of Tarmachan (Imp Nld) x Ch Jayanel Peppermint Patty), owned by Katherine Collier, also handled by Claire Cooper, with the RDCC going to Tarmachan Mac Talla (Ch Macaroni v Tum-Tums Vriendjes of Tarmachan (Imp Nld) x Ch Tarmachan Miss Impatiens), owned by Fiona Buchanan and Michael MacLaren. Colin & Ann Makey’s Multi Ch Gairside Good Lord (Can Can v Tum-Tums Vriendjes Debucher x Ch Gairside Sans Souci) was Best Veteran.
