BGV Pet Profiles Page 1 We had a huge response to our request for your BGV profiles! So many of you sent in fact files of your beloved hounds that this would have taken up an entire publication in itself, so the editors of The Voice have suggested that we run this feature online. Likes: Howling, shouting, singing, talking, sunbathing, sniffing, chasing squirrels, cuddles (on his own terms), long walks and off leash visits to the enclosed dog field Dislikes: The daily routine not fitting his exact expectation of timing, motorbikes, cars with loud engines, off leash dogs approaching him, ‘nemesis labrador’, spaniels, fireworks, smoke alarm beeps, sound of darts/staple gun, being groomed, having his feet or legs handled, going to the vet, walking with a leaf or twig stuck to his legs or tummy. Personality: Larger than life (I’m sure he thinks he’s a much bigger dog than he actually is!), very vocal, silly, sensitive, sweet and very loving. Cautious with new people and a bit aloof generally, reactive, anxious, kind-hearted, deep (over)thinker. Very dependent on routine and a bit of a fusspot. Always my shadow. A big softie and an adorable and loveable pain in the backside! Fun Fact: Rigby can do a cartwheel/handstand when pee marking – he used to do it a lot but he’s getting a bit too old for the acrobatics now.

Food & treats: Anything going!! A complete foodie but if it contains any sort of hidden tablet you had best bring your A-game because he will find it and spit it out!! Treats- This is a sore point, our local pet shop has stopped selling his favourite heartshaped meaty treats so we’re currently trialling for the position of favourite!! Likes: Sunbathing, the beach, Sleeping, Agility, Eating and did I mention sleeping!! Dislikes: Bad time keeping (late walk or late dinner will not be tolerated!!) pea-mutt butter and being groomed! Personality: A little aloof at times and chooses who and when he wants to be social, but when the people he truly loves arrive at our house, the whole world gets to know with his overzealous barking!! Fun Fact: The words ‘clean up on aisle 5!’ Will spring Fred from wherever he is to the pantry into hoover mode- great for those accidental dog food spillages. Yes it's a Christmas toy but who cares when it’s a rubber sprout wearing a crown! Food & treats: He likes what he likes and doesn’t like change. Likes water in his kibble and raw but not too much and not too little! Treats- loves a Kong stuffed with gravy bones and Pea-mutt butter!! Likes: everyone, humans, dogs, children he loves everyone!!!! And then cuddles, cuddles and more cuddles! Extremely partial to a slice of bread or the end of a baguette!! Dislikes: Motorbikes and squirrels coming into the garden. Personality: My little doorbell- if someone’s outside he’ll let you know also a proper nosey neighbour from his favourite spot in the front window. He’s totally hyperactive and hardly sits still, always up to something, until the sun goes down then all he wants is cuddles (do not use your phone, read a book or watch the television while this is happening- cuddles only!!) Fun Fact: Favourite song - Megan Moroney - am I ok? - causes a noise that’s somewhere between a broken howl and a screech to inexplicably fall out of him while he looks so confused over what’s happening!
